A clinical trial is an international medical project whose main goal is to give patients an opportunity for treatment under a clearly defined protocol. The trial uses standard therapy and/or an investigational drug – a new molecule still in development with the potential to become a registered medicine.
Throughout the trial, a specialist team of doctors and study coordinators organises all necessary diagnostics on time, closely monitors treatment progress, and records, analyses, and manages any possible side effects. All activities take place under the close supervision of the trial’s global monitor and sponsor, ensuring maximum safety and quality of care for every patient.
