Ines Sjerobabski Masnec was born in Vukovar. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zagreb. She completed her mandatory medical internship at Clinical Hospital “Sestre milosrdnice” and, after passing the state exam, worked at the Polyclinic for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases and Rehabilitation.

From 1995 to 1997, she worked at the Health Center in Zaprešić as a physician in the emergency medical service and a family medicine physician. She began her specialization in dermatology and venereology at the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases at Clinical Hospital “Sestre milosrdnice” and passed the specialist exam in 2002. Since then, she has been employed at the Clinical Hospital Center “Sestre Milosrdnice” in the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases as a specialist dermatovenereologist.

Ines completed a professional postgraduate study in dermatology and venereology. She enrolled in the doctoral study in the field of biomedicine and health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, in the academic year 2002/2003. In 2010, she defended a master’s thesis on “Quality of Life in Individuals Affected by Acne Vulgaris.”

She completed her doctoral postgraduate study in Dental Medicine and defended her doctoral dissertation on “Quality of Life Indicators in Patients with Dermatological Diseases Manifesting on the Face.” In 2012, she was granted the title of “Primarius” by the Ministry of Health.

Ines actively participated in the project of the Ministry of Science, Education, and Sports titled “Connection between the Quality of Life and Psychological Aspects of Patients with Acne Vulgaris” (project number: 0134017) led by Prof. Dr. Mirna Šitum, approved from 2002 to 2005. She also contributed to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia project on Telemedicine.

As a lecturer, she contributes to the Postgraduate Specialist Study in Dermatopharmacy and Cosmetology, specifically the course “Dermatological Cosmetology” at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb, since 2010. From 2013, she has been appointed as a lecturer at the Health College, Department of Clinical Medicine, teaching dermatovenereology.

Throughout her career, Ines has published scientific papers in indexed journals, lectured at continuous education courses, and participated in scientific conferences both nationally and internationally. She is a co-author of several textbooks and monographs in the field of dermatovenereology.

Ines has attended numerous courses and education programs in aesthetic medicine organized by the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the European Association for Laser, and the International Academy of Cosmetology in Paris, Prague, Toulouse, Athens, and Ljubljana.

Besides general dermatology, her specific areas of expertise include medical cosmetology (with a focus on acne vulgaris, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis), trichology, psychodermatology, and the aging and photoaging of the skin.
