Clinical Research Coordinator

The direction she chose after graduating from Vinogradska Medical School, Jelena continued by enrolling in Undergraduate Professional Study Program in Nursing at the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb, after which she completed her internship at the Interventional Gastroenterology Unit of the UHC Sestre milosrdnice. She then expanded her experience by working in primary health care and continued in the Intensive Care Unit at Clinic for Internal Diseases of the UHC Sestre milosrdnice. While working in the Intensive Care Unit, she completed a master’s degree in nursing at the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb and a Pedagogical, Psychological, Didactic and Methodological Training program at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek.

Except her professional path in nursing, Jelena began to develop her organizational and pedagogical skills back in her high school and student days, when she volunteered and coordinated teams that implemented various national programs in elementary and high schools in the City of Zagreb area. Today, she is a proud ambassador of volunteering, which she claims will gift everyone best experiences and people. She started to create and improve her pedagogical skills as a first aid lecturer for many years, and today she continues to do that with nursing students.

She is a teaching assistant at Department of adult nursing at the University of Apllied Health Sciences in Zagreb, and in her work at Solmed Clinic, she strives every day to unify and ensure what golden foundations of nursing define – the patient, their needs and their well-being.
