Associate Professor, Hrvoje Budinčević, MD, PhD, FEAN, FESO, a specialist in neurology, subspecialist in intensive care medicine and cerebrovascular diseases.
Dr. Hrvoje Budinčević is a specialist in neurology with a subspecialization in intensive care medicine and cerebrovascular diseases. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb in 2001. He completed his specialization in neurology in 2007 and received his doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 2014. Since 2018, he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek. He obtained two subspecialties in the field of neurology: intensive care medicine (2012) and cerebrovascular diseases (2018), and he obtained the status of a ‘primarius’ in 2018. His professional and scientific work has been recognized by umbrella neurological organizations and he is a ‘Fellow’ of the European Stroke Organization since 2017 and of the European Academy of Neurology since 2020.
For several years, he has been one of the directors of the Stroke Summer School – Healthy lifestyle and prevention of stroke and other brain damage in Dubrovnik (Croatia) (www.croatianstrokesociety.org), and he is a member of the Organizing Committee of MIND & BRAIN – the International Neuropsychiatric Congress in Pula ( www.pula-cong.com). He has extensive experience in conducting clinical trials in various areas of neurology (since 2002). He is a researcher in several scientific and clinical projects in the field of neurology, including cardiovascular prevention, multiple sclerosis, and dementia.
