Davor Kust, MD, PhD

Dr. Kust graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where he also received his PhD in 2016 with a thesis “Prognostic significance of cytokeratin-20 gene expression in peripheral blood cells of patients with colroectal cancer”. In 2018, he became the first University master of oncology and radiotherapy in Croatia, defending a thesis entitled “Hypothyroidism as a predictive factor of a better treatment response to sunitinib therapy”. From 2015 to 2019, he was a delegate in the assembly of the Croatian Medical Chamber, and the president of the Committee for Young Doctors. He is currently the vice president of the committee. He is a co-owner and one of the founders of the Solmed Clinic, the leading private institution for conducting clinical trials in Croatia. During his work so far, he published 46 scientific and Professional articles, wrote 12 chapters in medical books and textbooks, and had 25 conferenc abstracts. He is a regular speeker at domestic and foreign oncology conferences, and his narrower areas of interest are tumors of digestive system, head & neck tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. He is also the founder of the largest private oncology network Onkologija.net.
