Dr. Ivana Folnožić, born in Sisak, completed her medical studies at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. During her education, she worked as a demonstrator at the Department of Pathology and Pathophysiology and received the Dean’s Award in 2010 for the best sixth-year medical student. She specialized in pulmonology at the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases Jordanovac, but for the Clinical Hospital Sestre milosrdnice, under whose wing she continues to work as a specialist pulmonologist at the Department of Pulmonology. Her areas of interest include obstructive and rare lung diseases, pulmonary functional diagnostics, and sleep-disordered breathing.
ERN-LUNG Academy selected her as a candidate for education in 2023 in the field of rare lung diseases in one of the European centers of her choice. She attends professional development courses and international congresses in Croatia and Europe. She participates in book reviews, and in her free time, she relaxes in nature, reads, and writes short stories.
Since 2023, she has been serving as an examiner at the Solmed Polyclinic as part of pulmonary examinations.
