Dr. Lamot is a specialist in pediatrics and a subspecialist in pediatric rheumatology. Since 2008 he is a research fellow at the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, and a postdoctoral fellow since 2014. In addition to lecturing in the college course Fundamentals of medical skills and the module Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System and Clinical Judgement, he is a mentor for postgraduate students and was the leader of the postgraduate course of the first category. Additionally, he is engaded in translational research in the field of pediatric rheumatology and is involved in several domestic and international projects. He underwent scientific and Professional training in several institutions in Europe and the USA, and from 2018 to 2019 he attended postdoctoral training in pediatric rheumatology at he University and Children’s Hospital of British Columbia in Vancouver (Canada).<\/p>\n

His narrower area of scientific interest is juvenile spondyloarthritis and autoinflammatory disease, and especially the applicability of the results of basic research in everyday clinical practice.<\/p>\n

He actively participated in numerous domestic and international congresses, and was an invited speaker at various conferences and courses. He is the president of the European Association of Young Pediatric Rheumatologists (EMERGE), a member of the Bord of Directors of the Europena Society of Pediatric Rheumatologists (PReS), and a member of many Professional societies and associations. He is the organizer of the Meeting of Young Pediatric Rheumatologists and Researchers (YIM), traditionally held as a part of the annual congress of the European Society of Pediatric Rheumatology. He is also a coordinator of the interational training program for young pediatric rheumatologists and researchers (PReS EMERGE fellowship), and the regional representative of the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health. He is the winner of the “Ernst Mayerhofer” award of the Croatian Pediatric Society, and the International Medis Award for medical achievement. He is the author of some twenty publications and a reviewer in indexed journals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
