She was born on July 24, 1983 in Oto\u010dac, and after completing her high scool education (VII. Gymnasium in Zagreb) in 2001 she started studying at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. During her studies, she was a demonstrator at the Department of Pathology. She graduated in 2007, and after a mandatory internship, in 2008 she passed the state exam for physicians. From 2008 to 2015 she worked as a research fellow on the project of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports “Research of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease as a part of the metabolic syndrome”, under leadership of professor Marko Duvnjak. From 2010 to 2015, she was working for the University of Zagreb School of Medicine as a resident in internal medicine. She received her PhD title in 2015, and in 2018 she became a subspecialist pulmologist, and also the head of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Department of Interventional Pulmonology, Department of Clinical Immunology, Pulmonology and Rheumatology, University Hospital “Sestre milosrdnice” in Zagreb. Since 2015, she has been a research fellow – senior assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine, and an assistant professor since 2020.<\/p>\n
Initially, her narrower interest was hepatology and gastroenterology, and later pulmonology. She has been actively involved in teaching of students at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine from the very beginning. She is also a lecturer at the continuous medical education postgraduate course of the 1st category “Ultrasound of the abdomen”. She is a member of several domestic and international societies, a reviewer of several journals, and the author or co-author of 10 scientific articles published in indexed journals (6 were published in journals indexed in the Current Contents database), author of 3 chapters in professional books, and author of several conference papers. She was a member of the organizing committee of several professional symposia, and on three occasions she won the award for her abstracts at international congresses. She attended many international professional and scientific conferences related to the field of gastroenterology, hepatology and pulmonology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
