Diabetic polyneuropathy is one of the complications of type 1 and 2 diabetes. It occurs as a result of years of elevated blood sugar that slowly damages nerve fibers. Due to nerve fiber damage, patients typically have tingling, burning, or burning sensation in the foot area. This disease is quite difficult to treat because once damaged nerve fibers can not be restored. There are several medications available to treat neurogenic pain that can relieve patients ’symptoms. At the Solmed Polyclinic, there is currently one active clinical trial aimed at finding the right dose of neurogenic pain medication that safely and effectively helps patients.

  • Women and men up to 85 years of age.
